Hydrogen & Aquaculture Research
A research context for molecular hydrogen in fish culture and material platforms inside real water-circulation systems.
A recent fish-culture study
A 2024 study in juvenile largemouth bass compared hydrogen-rich-water concentrations and reported differences in growth, survival, feed-conversion, digestive activity, antioxidant indicators, mTOR-related genes, and gut microbiota. This finding supports further controlled research; it is not a universal outcome for all species or operating conditions.
What a credible pilot controls
Aquaculture trials need dissolved-hydrogen measurement alongside oxygen, temperature, pH, alkalinity, ammonia, nitrite, stocking density, feed, water exchange, and species-specific welfare metrics. A module that integrates with an existing recirculating system is preferable to a technology that changes daily operator routines.
MUQI application route
MUQI can explore solid-state hydrogen media, silicon and mineral carriers, cartridge or bypass modules, and water-treatment integration for hatcheries, recirculating systems, ornamental fish, shrimp, and finfish pilots.

Evidence boundary
The references below describe academic studies, research priorities, or market context. They do not establish a product claim for MUQI materials. Any commercial pilot requires species- or crop-specific protocols, independently measured water chemistry, controls, welfare oversight, and local regulatory review.
